  1. Hi Kayse – I recently came across your blog (through the bundle!) and I love everything you have to say so far. I am so glad you’re taking time for yourself and your family this summer!

Have you read “The Rosie Project” ?? It’s a super light read, hilarious and you won’t be able to put it down! Highly recommended 🙂

  2. I hope your health improves soon! I was in a car accident in August, not too serious but requiring some extra lying down as I recover, and one silver lining is getting to do some more reading! At my church’s used-book sale, I realized that I had NEVER read an Agatha Christie mystery, which is crazy because they’re classics and I love mysteries, so I picked up one (A Pocket Full of Rye) and I’m enjoying it.

Have you read The Memory Keeper’s Daughter? I loved it (here’s my review) but I was disappointed by another book by the same author, The Lake of Dreams–the writing style was just as lovely and captivating, but the plot left a lot to be desired and the main character was too morally mushy–so I was thrilled when I read The Memory Keeper’s Daughter the second time and it was still great.

    1. Oooh I’ll have to look at that one! Thank you!

  3. Thanks for the tip on the free Denver FBI book. I just snagged it! Kudos to you for continuing to try with Dee Henderson. I was just so very disappointed with her first recent book that I can’t even try with the others. I’d much rather go re-read the O’Malley books! 🙂

  4. Hoping my name is on this list one day soon 🙂 My book club just read The Husband’s Secret and they laughed at my passionate discussion last night. Don’t you love this line “Being a mother is really about making a thousand tiny decisions.” amen.

I’m reading Beth Webb Hart right now, Southern fiction. I loved Eva Marie Everson’s Five Brides this year, and Susan May Warren has been a good light romance-y read.

I’ve also pulled down the Janette Oke because we have a slight obsession with When Calls the Heart. Thank you Hallmark Channel via Netflix.

    1. I can’t wait to read your book!! And yes, I LOVE that quote from THS.

  5. i hope you get feeling better soon! I love book recommendations (I am reading 100 books this year!). I recently read Tea and Crumples by Summer Kinard–absolutely beautiful. I also have started reading Katherine Reay–Dear Mr. Knightley and The Bronte Plot. Fun, fun!
