  1. My summer has been way too busy! Didn’t even make it to the creek one time this summer, which is an indication that I had too much on my plate. 🙂 I did get a nice vacation to northern Alabama and Georgia, however, and lots of fun at Six Flags and camp. Still can’t believe summer is almost over.

  2. I’m so happy for you that you’re home. I’m glad you’re writing again but so glad to see that you’re keeping it in its place and taking care of yourself and spending more time with your family!
Can’t wait to hear your big announcement and read about your current planning system. Mine is constantly changing.

  6. SO nice that you might be sharing things with all of us a bit more frequently…yeay! your little one is so adorable…big breaking news? how cute is she!! you are raising wonderful children and their casual acceptance of your love is just a testament to your loving them all the time and they feel safe and independent in your family circle…such a great thing….congrats on surviving the move! we did too..across washington state and we are back again in the hug of family and familiar surroundings…it was a gift to be away for so long to really understand appreciation…appreciation for family, roots and community and possessions…i look forward to your organization and move stories…we downsized alot! but pretty much everything we have now is our most favourite things…enjoy life!

  7. welcome back. sounds like you’ve had a busy summer. Mine I ca’t wait to school starts again… Kids fighting, complaining. I have put them in every VBS known to man this summer. One of them was two weeks long. I had my tubes tied just last weekend. best decision I made in my life. Been having self doubts on my parenting skills. It seems no matter what I try,the bad behavior just wont go away. My hubby looks to me like I needed to do something a long time ago. Really?? Um didn’t realize I am parenting by myself. Feel like he only wants to be a dad in name only… Mean while in all of this I am ready to have a mental break down. The police have been to my house three times this summer. Apparently one of my neighbors don’t like the fact that I free range parent. I can watch my kids walk to their friends from my door, to the park, to the library…. really. and they made a comment cause one was bare footed… what has this world come too? at least I know where and who my kids are and with. They aren’t in devices like computers, TV, or phones and tablets. They’re outside. I just shake my head at all this. so yup that this is my summer… I have 8 kids. 2 out of the house and the rest are still home 5 boys and 3 girls. my last girl prefers my mothers. she says it too loud, too dirty and smelly with all the boys… I feel I made the wrong decision in letting God set my family members. I’m just not cut out for this… at wits end…

  13. I’m so glad you are back!
My winter (down here in Oz) has been crazy and I am searching for God to show me my path as I have a massive choice to make between two very distinctive work paths. I look forward to hearing how you found that capacity to open your heart and hear what God had install for you. Also, working full time with a 4 and 6 yr old, I’m looking forward to your organisational tips. Finally, homeschooling, not common down here so I am excited to hear a little more about this!
Take care and don’t take too much on this year!!

Welcome back! So glad your move went well!
Our summer has been boring, but that is a good thing! Two girls under three years old means plenty of unexpected craziness in life. My husband and I have committed to getting out of debt, so we have been simplifying and saving. Just plain ole’ life around here right now.

    1. I love all of that. Simple summer, plain ole life, and simplifying and saving! Yes!!!

  15. This was a nice surprise to find on my blog reader! Hope you all settle in soon– I know enough band teachers that I can easily imagine that concert schedule!

    1. Yes! And he’s got orchestra, band, and choir. It’s a little insane. But he loves it!
